Display magazine advertisements created for Image Conscious 2004-2007, ran in trade rags Decor Magazine, Art Business News and Art World News. Objective was to showcase a recently signed artist, also to highlight new up-sells such as canvas transfer options.
Branding/design for all the display advertising was closely tied to the main catalog branding cycle, in this case the Lichtenstein-inspired primary-colors hardcover catalog design. The primary color scheme was bright and attractive, but often clashed with a lot of the artwork, so was omitted from the advertising.
All that became obsolete not much later when the business went full-in on print-on-demand, allowing custom sizing, custom border treatments and several substrate options. Trade magazine advertising itself became obsolete with the financial crash soon afterwards…
